Due to our unprecedented growth, privately held heavy civil construction company located in the Newnan, GA area is seeking a Project Manager experienced with leading teams in the Heavy Civil Construction industry.


The successful candidate we seek, will manage all phases of heavy civil construction projects from contract formation to closeout including scheduling, document control, production, cost/budget control, risk assessment and client relations. Travel may be required during the daily tasks in the greater Atlanta metro area. This is a great opportunity to have high visibility in the company with room for advancement.


RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Prepare, review and manage all aspects of the projects from setup to close to include; financial reporting, scheduling, job cost, billing, change orders, potential claims and review with Senior Management on daily, weekly and monthly reporting intervals as required.
  • Understand and apply the requirements in project documents regarding quality control procedures such as testing, shop drawings, material approvals, samples, mock-ups, execution of the work, etc.
  • Develop, prepare and manage progress schedules, keep them properly updated, and ensure that everything feasible is done for the project to meet the required dates.
  • Ensure timely on-site delivery of materials and equipment furnished by the Company and subcontractors.
  • You will also work to maintain positive working relationships with clients, architect/engineer, suppliers, subcontractors, and jobsite staff.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma with preference to have associated College degree
  • Must have 10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction industry as a Project Manager or equal with an advanced understanding of construction knowledge with strong skills in utilizing technology and industry related software systems and approaches to manage projects.
  • Proficient knowledge of safety requirements, negotiations, contract management, planning and scheduling, budgets, dispute resolution, safety compliance, strong decision making skills, multi-tasking, problem solving, and interpersonal skills and relevant industry related technology.
  • Technical Skills: Procore, Textura, Autodesk ACC, HCSS estimating and HCSS Field software, MS Project, Excel, Word,
  • Proficiency in reading engineering documents, project plans, and GPS equipment
  • Previous experience or use of GPS equipment
