- Develop change communication plan, leveraging a wide range of internal communications channels and tactics to inform, educate, and engage Northern Trust partners.
- Lead and participate in the development of all related change activities/deliverables, ensuring clearly articulated messages that prepare and motivate partners for adopting the change, and resources that provide partners the knowledge and ability necessary to successfully adopt the implemented changes.
- Assess audience readiness for the change including identifying (people-related) risks and anticipated points of resistance.
- Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress to track adoption, utilization and proficiency related to changes.
- Provide project management support for OCM activities including planning, tracking of key deliverables, ensuring timely delivery, and providing regular OCM status reporting to program stakeholders and leadership.
- Develop and utilize personas to understand stakeholders’ journeys to drive partner connection.
- Influence, guide and coach other employees through the change management process.
- Partner and coordinate efforts with other change-related specialists, including communications, training, and human resources.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent active listening skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others to complete high quality deliverables within tight timelines.

- Solid understanding of how people go through change and the change process. Experience with and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
- Strong proficiency with MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is a necessity. Experience with collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, Viva Engage) strongly preferred, and familiarity with multi-media, design, and publishing tools a plus.
