Must-Have:
- Vent care, hemodynamic monitoring, medication titrations, arterial line, IABP, Impella, EKOS, CRRT, chest tube, Swan ganz catheter, FloTrac monitoring, titratable drip management, hypothermia protocol
- Experience with ART lines, trach care, chest tubes, vasopressor usage, sedation usage, central lines
- Strong skills in post-operative care for CABG, valve surgeries, thoracotomies, ECMO, and more
Job Description:
- Work in a general cardiac care setting with a 10-bed unit focusing on patients with STEMI, post-heart cath interventions, respiratory failure, post-cardiac arrest, stroke care, renal failure, hypertensive emergencies, sepsis, and other critical care needs.
- Provide care in a 12-bed CVICU with patients post-op CABG, valve surgeries, thoracotomies, ECMO, post-cardiac arrest, post-heart cath, and post-vascular surgery.
- Support the MICU in a 14-bed unit with patients experiencing acute respiratory, renal, liver failure, DKA, sepsis, septic shock, and occasional post-surgical needs.
- Serve in a busy 14-bed Neuro ICU focusing on CVA, SAH, SDH, IPH, and seizures, with skills including trach care, art line management, vent/ETT, EVD, and ICP monitoring.
- Care for patients in a 14-bed Surgical ICU covering post-surgical, trauma, vascular, multisystem, and neuro trauma cases, with a focus on trach care, art line management, chest tube care, wound care, and drip management.
- Patient ratios are maintained at 1:2, supported by a CNA ratio of 1:10.

- Hospitalist presence

Additional Notes:
- Weekend rotation required every other weekend, with potential back-to-back weekends (rare)
- No on-call obligations
- Holiday expectations include working one major and one minor seasonal holiday based on policy
- Orientation for new or returning travelers includes 24 hours of classroom time and 24 hours on unit
