Senior Silicon Validation Engineer

Job Title: Hardware Design Engineer 5
Location: Onsite, Mountain View, CA
Duration: 18 months.
Pay Rate: $85/hr. - $90/hr.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Silicon Validation Engineer to join the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Silicon Engineering team. This role is ideal for a highly motivated self-starter with extensive experience in Pre-Silicon RTL Verification, Post-Silicon Validation, and Systems Level Testing. The engineer will drive system team enablement and product deployment at scale in data centers.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform Pre-Silicon RTL Verification, Post-Silicon Validation, and Systems Level Testing.
• Write test plans, develop and debug tests, and create validation tools for pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system-level integration and deployment.
• Conduct hands-on validation for multiple product cycles, ensuring smooth definition-to-silicon transitions.

Top 3 Hard Skills Required:

Design Verification Experience: Minimum 10 years

UVM & Testbench Development: Minimum 5 years (developing and debugging)

Test Planning & Scripting: Minimum 5 years (test case writing and scripting) Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of relevant technical engineering experience in silicon design verification
• Experience writing test plans, developing tests, debugging failures, and creating tools for both pre-silicon and post-silicon validation environments
• Proficiency in C/C++, System Verilog, Assembly, Python
• Solid understanding of advanced computer architecture and boot flow
• Experience with high-speed IOs and industry-standard bus/parallel/serial protocols (Ethernet, PCIe, JTAG, AXI, AHB, I2C)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Hardware Debugging
• FPGA Timing/Speed Optimization
• Experience with Synopsys HAPS System
• AXI Bus Protocol Experience
• Knowledge of Microprocessor Systems
