Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
- Operates a lift truck by driving backwards and twisting to be able to look in the direction of travel on a continual basis.
- Operates a lift truck all shift.
- Performs routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning or recharging batteries, and refer defects or repairs to supervisor/maintenance.
- Moves controls to drive lift trucks and transport materials between loading, unloading, processing, and storage areas.
- Moves levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams and swivel-hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
- Positions lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes, and secure material or products for transport to designated areas.
- Manually loads or unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices.
- Performs routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment.

Function categories often describe certain Material Handler positions; however, all material handlers will be expected to learn and have proficiency in each function category.
Receiving -
- Unloads products from tractor-trailers and rail containers (manually and with equipment).
- Verifies product received is identified and counted accurately.
- Inspects condition of received product, remove damaged or non-conforming products. Process defective product as per standard operating procedure.
- Scans pallet barcode using RF equipment.
- Moves and places product safely and securely in its proper storage location using heavy equipment.
- Receives and evaluates printed order for order selection and preparation requirements.
- Fills orders by accurately picking product from storage areas utilizing pre-determined product stacking guidelines.
- Uses scanning device and computer as needed to ensure order accuracy.
- Corrects shortages, over-counts and incorrect batch codes as needed.
- Moves products from staging areas and/or directly from storage into trailer.
- Inspects trucks for quality and sanitary requirements.
- Verifies markings, trailer numbers, and shipping documents.
- Fills truck using designated loading patterns and guidelines.
- Properly secures the load for travel.

- Experience : One (1) to two (2)s year related experience in warehouse environment.
- Computer Skills: Basic scanner technology.
- Certificates & Licenses: Valid State Driver's License; Forklift Certification preferred
Schedule - Monday through Friday (occasional Saturdays) from 6 am to 2 pm
