Looking to take the first step in your career? Hatch is seeking a motivated Operations Planning and Simulation Analyst (Entry-Level) to join our Transit Operations Planning and Simulation team in the Los Angeles office.
As an Entry-Level Operations Analyst, you will:
- Work with industry experts as you learn about rail vehicles, signaling, and operations.
- Assist Project Managers, Directors, and other Analysts to study and analyze transportation networks, benchmark rail system capacity, and plan operations.
- Create technical reports and deliver presentations that help decision-makers navigate multi-billion-dollar projects.
You bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, math, computer science, physics, environmental science, planning, policy, or related field (relevant professional experience will be considered as a substitute for academic degree requirements)
- A strong interest in transportation systems
- Proficiency in office productivity software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Ability to work well in a team that is passionately committed to the pursuit of positive change.

- Perform assignments related to your sector
- Assist with preparation of detailed design for projects
- Support preparation of drawings from detailed notes and specifications
- Coordination with other technicians/engineers on projects
- Provide support to Senior Engineers and Designers as and when needed

Compensation range depends on education, major, experience (overall), and interview skills. For ideal candidates, the compensation range can be $65,000 - $90,000 annually.
