CUSTOMS BROKERAGE SUPERVISOR
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises Customs Brokerage department.
- Performs timely and accurate costing, revenue estimates, rating, invoicing, and correction (where necessary) to invoices, process, or people to minimize WIP, DSO, and Bad Debt.
- Ensures all financial and quality controls and audits are completed accurately and on-time.
- Leads or participates in corrective actions as necessary to mitigate the likelihood of revenue or profit loss when business is at risk.
- Monitors and assists in managing staffing levels and workload allocation across product teams within assigned department. This includes talent acquisition, furloughing, re-purposing, re-shifting, demotion, promotion, and severance, as well as developing individuals within the team.
- Enters all required data accurately into Hellmann’s brokerage system to complete the entry and achieve full release with CBP and PGA.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- Associate degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered in lieu of educational requirement.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum five years of experience in a customs brokerage agent position.
- Two years of prior experience in a supervisory role
- Completion of any industry related course is an asset, especially work towards brokerage license.
