The organization also contributes to the employee's tax-sheltered annuity plan after one year of service.Job Summary:The Training and Development Specialist performs human resource duties related to the delivery of training and organizational development programs and provides support to the Human Resources team.Reports to: Workforce Development ManagerSupervision Exercised: NoneEducation/Experience/License/Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent required.Two years of relevant human resources work experience.Associate's degree in human resources, business, administration or related field preferred.An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. Required Travel:Occasional travel is required including day-to-day local travel for business meetings, community events, etc.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Strong interpersonal and excellent customer services skills with the ability to respond positively to difficult situations. Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft products including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access required. A demonstrated ability to manage and organize multiple projects to meet critical deadlines. Previous experience working with learning management, performance management and/or HR information system. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information. Ability to manage and prioritize work assignments and be a self-starter. Experience with interpreting and applying policies and procedures. Previous experience researching and solving problems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Adhere to the guidelines and procedures of Pueblo Community Health Center, Inc. Maintain confidentiality of all personnel files, correspondence, meetings, telephone and or conversations, and all documentation generated or received by Human Resources. Assist in scheduling and coordinating company-wide training sessions and events. Assist and support management and employees with the use of the learning and performance management systems. Collect and file training and performance management records to include paperwork, digital documents, email and forms. Assist in tracking and monitoring completion of employee training required to meet accreditation standards, regulatory compliance and organizational policies. Assist with delivering effective orientation programs for new employees and employees transferring to new jobs within the organization. Work closely with Workforce Development Manager to identify training needs and resources to address employee skill gaps. Work closely with Workforce Development Manager and supervisors to create job specific competencies. Provide support to Workforce Development Manager and supervisors for timely and effective completion of employee performance evaluations. Act as a resource for supervisors in the delivery of evaluations to employees. Assist Workforce Development Manager and supervisors in performance goal planning. Utilize Microsoft Office to create and edit documents and reports and Microsoft Outlook to maintain calendars and appointments. Recommend changes and revisions to Human Resources policies and/or procedures. Promote a culture of performance improvement.
