Position Summary:

Reporting to the ERP Systems Manager, the ERP Application Analyst role is to collaborate with key stakeholders, vendors, and other IT staff to innovate and implement services and functionalities within an assigned portfolio of applications and to specialize in the Workday application. This includes leveraging existing data and technology as well as scoping and defining new technology requirements.

This role will deliver support to all departments and end users related to application implementation, maintenance, enhancements, and overall performance. The ERP Applications Analyst role is not authorized to provide services to parties external to Cowlitz Tribal Gaming Authority.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Promotes superior guest service.
  2. Maintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani.
  3. Lead support efforts for end user inquiries related to application incidents and new requests utilizing a ticketing system to create, modify, track, and update tickets.
  4. Prioritize, schedule, and implement defect fixes and enhancements.
  5. Communicate with key stakeholder’s impact, plan, and timing of defect resolution.
  6. Coordinate, lead, and implement preventive maintenance, patches, and upgrades.
  7. Subject matter expertise working with and mastering Workday solution.
  8. Support, monitor and create integration solutions within Workday and 3rd parties.
  9. Work with and maintain the highest security standards within Workday, following approved procedures, to ensure security is maintained within the system.
  10. Lead, assess, and train business units on the operation and functionality within Workday, while providing best practices and looking for improvements.
  11. In-depth knowledge of business unit that is being supported.
  12. Super-user for Workday solution with the assigned unit.
  13. Facilitate regular scheduled meetings with business unit to ensure alignment and needs are being met.
  14. Provide Tier II support for escalations related to application functionality, installation, and upgrade requirements.
  15. Document solutions and results, analyze trends, make recommendations to improve process, and implement change to mitigate risk of future defects.
  16. Project Management – Gather business requirements and translate into technical requirements, create standard PM documentation, facilitate, and lead cross-departmental project with multiple stakeholders.
  17. Quality assurance and testing – Create use cases, unit tests, and test solutions in support of both existing and new applications under consideration for purchase.
  18. Technical Documentation – Create and maintain application overviews, capturing all necessary data points.
  19. Training Support – Provide support to business partners and HR training organization related to assessing application training needs on functionality, features, and best practices.
  20. Software Requirements: Data flow diagrams, logical models, and infrastructure requirements.
  21. Responsible for the creation and maintenance of application security matrices, process, and procedure documentation, troubleshooting documentation, FAQs, business continuity plans, and vendor support information.
  22. Vendor Management: Support third party applications, integrations, and manage the vendor relationship related to account management and escalations.
  23. Communication: Provide timely, appropriate communication on application or project status based on target audience.
  24. Provide 24X7 support for applications within portfolio.
  25. Continuous Improvement: Actively seek opportunities, as an individual and as part of a group, to improve knowledge, tools, and processes for applications within portfolio.
  26. Shared Services: Partner with and support established enterprise Shared Services agreement and participate in collaboration efforts amongst all business entities.
  27. Provide leadership to team members and peers by collaborating with others; articulating ideas and viewpoints to management, peers, and others; identifying and initiating projects; managing resources; driving the resolution of issues; and holding self and team accountable for results.
  28. Identify, create, and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level; focusing on quality improvement and data management; ensuring data is reliable and valid; developing process improvements or re-engineering and recommending elimination; integrating new systems and processes with existing ones; and partnering with internal customers to ensure systems provided meet the long-term business strategies.
  29. Lead or participate in multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation; managing project scope; adjusting schedules when necessary; determining daily priorities; ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones; following proper escalation paths; and managing customer and vendor relationships.
  30. Informs and makes educated recommendations on business process improvements.
  31. Able to ask tough questions and push back professionally and creatively to ensure the success of the organization and projects.
  32. Minimal travel may be required for this position.
  33. The Application Analyst is responsible for the strict adherence to the Information Technology department compliance policies, internal control procedures, Washington State Gaming Control Board control specifications and the casino’s policies and procedures.
  34. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. College diploma or university degree in the field of Computer Science or Information Systems and two (2) years’ relevant work experience in an enterprise environment and/or an equivalent combination of education and work experience demonstrating two (2) years minimum of progressive IT experience.
  2. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment.
  3. Minimum 2 years’ experience supporting users and applications in one of the following disciplines: HR, Finance, Procurement in a Workday solution.
  4. At least one (1) IT related certification.
  5. Experience with project tracking systems and incident systems.
  6. Experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.
  7. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  8. Experience managing complex IT-related projects impacting multiple stakeholders.
  9. Experience with assessing training needs, creating training plans, and delivering training.
  10. Demonstrated ability to create and maintain technical documentation.
  11. Knowledge of trends in technology relating to software applications.
  12. Proficiency in Smartsheet and effectively managing a project within Smartsheet.
  13. Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentational skills.
  14. Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  15. Highly motivated and self-directed.
  16. Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly.
  17. Comfortable with changing priorities and a fast-paced environment.
  18. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  19. Experience working in a team-oriented, large, diverse, collaborative environment.
  20. Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills.
  21. Must be willing to work in a smoking environment.
  22. Must be willing to adhere to company health and safety measures.

Preferred Experience:

  1. Certification in Workday.
  2. Proficiency with SQL server and SSRS.

Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Regular

Pay Range: $83,034.00 - $91,337.40
