Seeking a skilled and motivated Technical Writer to join our Cybersecurity team

Job title:: Technical Writer

Duration:: 1-year Contract

Pay range:: $32-$35 per hour

Location:: Phoenix, AZ, 85007 (HYBRID)

Shift:: Mon-Fri; 8am-5pm

Position Description

• Creating clear, concise, and accurate documentation for a variety of audiences, including technical staff, non-technical stakeholders, and end-users.
• Play a critical role in ensuring that our cybersecurity policies, procedures, and systems are well-understood and properly implemented.

Skills Required

• Knowledge of different cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
• Experience with graphic design and multimedia development.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Proven experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in the cybersecurity field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and principles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in authoring tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe RoboHelp, or Microsoft Word. Experience with content management systems.

Security awareness materials

• Collaborate with cybersecurity team members to gather information and ensure technical accuracy.
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear and easy-to-understand language.
• Adhere to style guides and templates to ensure consistency and quality.
• Use a variety of authoring and content management tools.
• Manage documentation review and approval processes.
• Stay up-to-date on cybersecurity best practices and industry trends.
• Contribute to the development of knowledge base articles and FAQs.
• Assist with other cybersecurity-related tasks as needed.

Education Required

• Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, Security+) are a plus.
