Overview

AllWorld Language Consultants, Inc. (ALC) is a consulting firm that provides a vast array of technical and professional services such as translation, interpretation, transcription, Title III intercepts, multi-media production, training, and intelligence support. We have immediate openings for a Portuguese or Spanish Toponymist in St. Louis, MO.

Responsibilities:

• Process geographic names
• Conduct research and information gathering
• Utilize GEOINT sources
• Work with maps (native, secondary, historic) for extraction and comparison
• Create shapefiles and geo-databases, including data retrieval/storage
• Understand and apply standard NGA products

Minimum Requirements:

• 3-10 years of experience processing geographic names
• Reading expertise in Portuguese or Spanish (ILR 2 in reading)
• Top Secret SCI Security Clearance
• Minimum proficiency skill level 2 for Reading as defined by the Interagency Language Roundtable (ILR)

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• Specific experience processing geographic names following NGA policies and procedures
• Experience with ArcGIS or GeoMedia Pro (1 year preferred)

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
