Clamp Forklift Operator

Job Summary
Candidate Source has an opening for a Clamp Truck Operator with a growing manufacturing company based in Richmond, VA. The Forklift Operator will be responsible for operating and managing various industrial trucks to load and unload materials, maintain inventory transactions, and ensure the accurate movement of products to and from designated areas. This role also involves creating Bills of Lading (BOL) using our Warehouse Management System.
Key Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to safely transport materials.
• Utilize Warehouse Management System and RF scanners to track and manage inventory.
• Pick, wrap, stage, and label orders for shipment.
• Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety issues.
• Assist in training new warehouse employees and participate in inventory counts.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and standards, including PPE and OSHA requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Qualifications

• Education : High school diploma required.
• Experience : Minimum one year of forklift experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Certification : Must complete forklift and process-specific clamp truck certifications.
• Skills : Ability to use RF scanners, operate manual and electric pallet jacks, and communicate effectively with team members.

Working Conditions

• Physical Requirements : Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that may require bending, reaching, and prolonged stationary positions.
• Safety Gear : Safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed shoes are required.
