Grundens is seeking a dynamic Global Sales and Demand Planner to join our global sales team. This is a pivotal role that drives efficient inventory management processes and supports strategic decision-making to meet customer demand and maximize profitability. The Global Sales and Demand Planner contributes to optimizing inventory levels, minimizing stockouts, and ensuring customer satisfaction by efficiently meeting demand with accurate product information.

The Global Sales and Demand Planner reports directly to the Vice President of Sales and works closely with Sales, Supply/Operations, Product Management, and Ecommerce teams. Top candidates should have a strong understanding of sales, go to market process, and account management.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize historical data, market trends, and statistical models to accurately forecast product demand
  • Develop global demand plans that represent all channels of business (D2C, N.A. Wholesale, Amazon, EMEA, LATAM) for short-term and long-term horizons to support sales and production objectives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and incorporate business intelligence into demand forecasts
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand forecasting accuracy
  • Generate regular reports and insights to stakeholders, highlighting key findings and recommendations for action
  • Proactively identify process improvements and optimization opportunities within demand planning
  • Implement best practices, tools, and methodologies to enhance forecasting accuracy
  • Drive cross-functional initiatives to streamline processes and improve overall business performance
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and seasonal sell through analysis by top 20 accounts and sales analytics platforms
  • Collaborate with product management teams to validate product data, ensuring it meets quality standards and enhances the customer experience
  • Responsible for achieving on-hand inventory goals aligned with company directive for fulfillment of prebooked and asap replenishment orders
  • Plan exit strategies and transition plans for excess and end of life inventory
  • Identify key opportunities and obstacles inherent to the forecasting process. Assist management in continuous improvement of the process

  • Strong analytical skills in interpreting data, identifying trends, and making informed decisions regarding demand forecasting
  • Understanding of apparel and apparel industry
  • Full end to end understanding and knowledge on how to influence sales and the go to market process
  • Customer-centric approach to understanding top customer needs and preferences
  • Expert understanding of the fishing industry and seasonal nature of the category
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills (verbal, written, in-person, & virtual)

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or similar field
  • At least 5 years of apparel experience
  • Proven experience in demand planning, data management, or related roles
  • Retail experience is valued
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, proficient in statistical analysis and forecasting techniques
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and influence decision-making processes
  • Strong process implementation skillset
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with planning tools/systems. Experience with demand planning software is greatly preferred but not required
Location & Benefits
  • Work location: Must be located near the Poulsbo Headquarters with the ability to work remotely for 2 days. Relocation assistance available.
  • Compensation: This role can expect to earn $100,000– $120,000.
