POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
McCallie/Alutiiq is seeking an IT Systems Administrator to provide comprehensive IT support and supervision across Department of Defense or Government Agency Enterprise NIPR and SIPR Networks. The IT Systems Administrator (SYSADMIN) will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues, as well as ensuring users are proficient with basic system operations. This position requires hands-on experience with a variety of IT support tasks and the ability to manage and transport equipment as needed. This position also requires supervision of other help desk personnel.
- Additionally, the IT SYSADMIN will be responsible for:
- Managing and updating physical network infrastructure
- Managing network equipment and upgrades
- Managing Continuity of Operations Program (COOP) site
- Managing SIPR network
- Managing encryption token and keys
- Managing G-4 Army Training and Certification Tracking System (ATCTS)
- Managing Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) to maintain compliance within RMF framework
- Managing and coordinating OS system upgrades
- Data recovery
- Alternate G-4 IMO/Primary MARNEC IMO
- Software license management
- IT training for users
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Five years of IT support and Helpdesk experience supporting users on a Department of Defense or Government Agency Enterprise NIPR and SIPR Network
- Experience in backup, recovery, and data restoration from workstations for customers during upgrades or when problems with the system are diagnosed
- Demonstrated experience simulating user problems to resolve operating difficulties
- The ability to provide direct end user assistance to include familiarizing users with basic software, hardware, and peripheral device operation
- Effectively use approved diagnostic tools to diagnose network connectivity issues as well as image, copy and configure systems for deployment
- Experience with install, connect, configure, upgrade, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair desktop/laptop system hardware and software, mobile devices and peripherals
- The ability to lift, push and transport equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
Required DoD 8570 Level IIIT Certifications:
- A+
- Security+
- Microsoft 365 Certified Modern Desktop Administrator Associate Certification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Microsoft Office Specialist (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, or Outlook) certification preferred
