We have an excellent opportunity for a design engineer focused on technical problems. In this position, you will design and analyze engineering projects, manage tasks, and develop new business opportunities. Much of the work will be within Florida and focused on natural systems restoration, stormwater treatment, dredging and other associated projects.Your ImpactLead and mentor a team of early and mid-career engineers and scientistsCollaborateDeliver quality products to clients on scheduleConduct both field and office tasks associated with water-resources projectsUse CAD Modeling, GIS and other relevant software technologyPrepare calculations, design and make recommendations for water-resources projectsAuthor construction bid documents, technical documents, permit applications, and proposalsMust be able to manage and lead projects in a team environmentMust be able to market clients and prepare proposalsCommit to our safety programWho You AreRequired QualificationsBachelor of Science degree in environmental, agricultural, or civil engineering7-10 years of post-baccalaureate experience in engineeringExperience in a consulting practiceRegistered Professional Engineer in Florida; or registered Professional Engineer in a different state, with the ability to obtain Florida registration within three months of employmentTrained project managerSkilled communicator (oral and written) of technical informationTravel, as necessary; primarily within FloridaThe position will be in the Gainesville, FL office.Proficiency in using the Suite of MS Office productsStrong oral and written communication skills; proven ability to communicate with clients, prepare reports and proposals.Safe driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policyDrug Screen required for this positionPreferred Qualifications:Graduate degree or degrees in engineeringKnowledge of Florida hydrology and Florida water-resources issuesClient relationships and project experience in FloridaRelationships with Florida’s water management districtsExperience with the following water models a plus: ICPR, HEC, MODFLOW #LI-SV1About WSPWSP USA is the U.S. operating company of WSP, one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
