The US Commercial Brand Attorney is an integral member of the legal team and will serve as a legal advisor for our Commercial business units and assist in executing strategy and brand objectives. This role will provide support and review of materials for commercial and medical affairs activities on risk assessments. Contributing to a comprehensive understanding of potential enterprise risk, escalation, and resolution while collaborating and integrating with Compliance, Regulatory, and other commercial units.

This hybrid role is based in Princeton, New Jersey and will report directly to the US General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support for US Endocrinology Rare Disease and Oncology commercial and early-stage development pharmaceutical products.
  • Serve as legal advisor/core brand attorney to commercial, medical affairs, market access, and development teams, as assigned.
  • Lead assigned cross-functional legal initiatives and brand, promotional, and other material review and medical drug information.
  • Collaborate with R&D, IP, and Compliance colleagues responsible for ensuring an aligned approach across multiple products.
  • Review business materials including brand plans, promotions, medical plans, training documents requiring legal input and advising internal clients.
  • Advise cross-functional teams including clinical, product development, regulatory, medical affairs, and other clients on FDA regulator submissions, label negotiations, and privacy and data use.
  • Analyze, interpret, and apply government regulations, guidelines, and requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical in-house brand commercial experience.
  • J.D. Degree from an accredited law school required.
  • J.D. licensed to practice in the US.
  • Bar membership in good standing.
  • Experience in contract, business, FDA, and drug laws and regulations specifically to the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail, clarity, accuracy, and conciseness.
  • Comfortable working in an intense, fast-paced environment, must be responsive to the needs of the business partners, have a high energy level, be hands-on, and have the judgment/confidence to be able to execute under pressure in a timely way.
  • Demonstrated legal judgment and business acumen.
  • Superior problem-solving, written, and oral skills that allow one to present clear recommendations that will help us achieve our business objectives, while working independently.
  • An ability to meet competing deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously, technical knowledge, and work collaboratively in a global environment.
  • Proven ability to assess and calibrate effectively to communicate legal risks to senior management and others.
