Job Summary
As part of The Standard's HR Compensation team, Compensation Consultants play a critical role in supporting the organization and helping achieve business goals by providing expertise and consultative guidance to develop, implement, and sustain thoughtful solutions to a variety of organizational compensation challenges.

  • Evaluation and Analysis: In collaboration with HRBPs, leaders, and legal prepare and review job analysis, evaluations and classifications, survey participation, benchmarking, etc.
  • Compensation design: Evaluate and make recommendations on existing compensation programs.
  • Plan management: Prepare and implement changes to base pay, short-term and long-term incentives, sales compensation, and executive compensation programs.
  • Lead compensation design efforts through the design cycle for your assigned business areas.
  • Participate in and occasionally lead department and/or enterprise-level design projects of medium to high complexity as well as participant in annual compensation events.
Skills and Background You'll Need
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience working as a compensation consultant with diverse duties in a for-profit environment is required.
  • Experience with pivot tables and an understanding on how to sort, analyze, and aggregate data.
  • Experience working in group insurance is a plus!
  • Experience supporting IT organizations and executive compensation programs preferred.
  • Prior experience with Workday strongly preferred.
  • Professional certification: CCP preferred or in progress (must be obtained within 2 years).

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.
  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:
$104,750.00 - $153,500.00
