Job Details

Overview:

The Director of Property Management & Legal Operations will oversee commercial property management, lease administration, legal contract review, and compliance, ensuring optimal asset performance and legal adherence while managing budgets

Up to 25% travel required.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, develop, and enhance commercial real estate and aviation assets to maximize financial returns.
  • Oversee lease administration, ensuring compliance with lease agreements and legal/financial standards.
  • Lead contract negotiations for property leases and improvements, focusing on redlining contracts and legal reviews.
  • Draft and file legal documents related to real estate transactions, including leases, purchase agreements, and closing documents.
  • Review title documents, insurance policies, and tax bills to ensure all property documentation is accurate.
  • Coordinate property sales and leasing processes, including preparing closing checklists and managing client communications.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend asset lifecycles.
  • Administer budgets, review financial performance, and recommend improvements to increase profitability.
  • Conduct property inspections, manage safety/security measures for vacant properties, and oversee loss prevention.
  • Manage client relations, acting as the principal agent to ensure all property management obligations are met.
  • Assist with the management of aviation assets, including tracking, maintenance, and usage.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and consultants to support property transactions and real estate investments.

Requirements:

  • Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies required; Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Real Estate, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial property management or real estate.
  • Expertise in contract negotiation, legal compliance, and lease management.
  • Experience managing multi-state or nationwide portfolios, including capital projects.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, maintenance protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to develop and manage budgets, with proficiency in financial analysis and ROI assessments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.

Nice to Haves:

  • 3+ years of experience in customer-facing industries like retail or hospitality.
  • Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program is highly desirable.
  • Strong familiarity with local and federal leasing processes.
  • Paralegal or legal experience with a focus on contracts and property law.
