Position Summary: Using Positive Behavior Support (PBS) strategies, all DBIS staff are professional team members responsible for supporting each individual’s right to live a safe, enjoyable, meaningful life at home and in the community. Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with the start-up of the program, including setting up the house or apartment, furnishing, hiring staff, program development, etc.
  2. Oversee the overall operation of the program(s) to include licensing regulations.
  3. Teach and model techniques for staff.
  4. Manage the daily affairs, welfare, and safety of the individuals we serve, including nutrition, dress, sleep, and medical services.
  5. Ensure individuals are involved in appropriate day activity and recreational programs suited to their needs and abilities.
  6. Oversee individual money management needs.
  7. Respond to crisis via the 24-hr rotating on-call system.
  8. Arrange/provide coverage when assigned staff is not available.
  9. Participate in team meetings; ISP Reviews, Treatment Team reviews, etc.
  10. Take an active role in the development of individualized goals, behavior plans, safety plans, etc.
  11. Hold regular program meetings.
  12. Maintain agency certifications.
  13. Address all other programmatic needs as assigned/directed by the Director of Operations.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree and supervisory/management experience preferred.
  2. High School Diploma or GED is required.
  3. Experience working with developmental disabilities/brain injury population.
  4. Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
  5. Excellent communication, computer, and organizational skills.
  6. MAP, PABC, and CPR/First Aid Certified preferred.
  7. Able to pass background screening (CORI).

Pay & Benefits:

$48,620 - $50,620 - based on workload, experience, and education.

MAP differential pro-rated annually and paid bi-weekly.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.
