About the role

Humanly is looking for software engineers with a diverse set of ideas and a versatile skill set. As the first DevOps member of our engineering team you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud-based platform infrastructure, including managing Kubernetes and deploying database systems.

Azure, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Elixir (with Phoenix, LiveView), Elm, JavaScript, Git

What you'll do

  • Continuously enhance the reliability, performance, and scalability of our infrastructure
  • Collaborate with the rest of Engineering to prepare and deploy production-ready solutions with high security and reliability standards
  • Automate continuous integration and deployment pipeline
  • Drive system and process efficiency in capacity planning, configuration management, performance tuning, monitoring, and root cause analysis
  • On-call support for critical systems
  • Participate in incident investigations and post-mortems

Who you are

  • 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based systems
  • Expert in building highly scalable, secure, efficient, and resilient operation environments
  • Experienced with Kubernetes and Docker
  • Experienced in service monitoring (ex: Prometheus)
  • Experienced with PostgreSQL

Bonus skills

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure
  • Experience with GitHub Actions
  • Experience with multiple CDNs
  • Experience with Elixir/Phoenix
  • Experience working at a startup or working on small teams
