Urban Grub is seeking an experienced Pastry Line Cook with a passion for creating outstanding pastry dishes. The ideal candidate should be proficient in baking and pastry techniques, maintain a high standard of quality, and excel in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role involves creating pastry dishes based on our chef's specifications, prepping ingredients, and maintaining a clean, efficient baking station.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare pastry dishes in accordance with chef's specifications, ensuring consistent quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized baking station, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Prep daily mise en place, setting up your station for success.
  • Follow proper food handling and sanitation standards to guarantee guest safety.
  • Cooperate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years of cooking experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in the baking/pastry section.
  • Proficiency in baking techniques and pastry preparation.
  • Understanding of baking methodologies and ability to follow complex recipes.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Food handler's certification, or ability to obtain one.
  • Flexibility to work in various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
