Clark County School District Construction Superintendent

Summary

Our client, a top notch commercial GC located in the Las Vegas, NV area, is seeking a project Superintendent with Clark County School District (CCSD) experience to join their team.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Ability to read and comprehend contracts, purchase agreements, contract entails for the project, and coordinating subcontractor and supplier scope with Project Manager
2. Determine site logistics for site access, temporary roads, fencing, etc., and discuss with Project Manager
3. Prior to construction, survey and record all adjacent and perimeter site and building elevations
4. Arrange temporary services, primary surveying, and horizontal control
5. Conduct pre-construction meetings and weekly coordination meetings with all subcontractors, owners, architects, and consultants
6. Determine methods of construction, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, temporary power sources, and work schedules, and document actual hours worked
7. Supervise company employees assigned to the project
8. Schedule and coordinate suitable equipment
9. Resolve construction problems, lack of productivity, and work interfaces
10. Complete and oversee maintenance and proper completion of all daily work documentation and other paperwork required, submitting all as required on a timely basis
11. Monitor, coordinate, and review submittal logs and shop drawings
12. Review construction documents for completeness and constructibility
13. Resolve plan and spec discrepancies with the project design team
14. Work with project management to establish and maintain a master schedule
15. Develop site logistics plan
16. Responsible for the safety of the site and all workers as well as the overall quality of the project
17. Responsible for managing general budgets and overall project costs

Qualifications & Requirements

1. Minimum of four years of construction supervision and/or craft supervision experience in similar facility construction
2. Four-year construction management/engineering degree or equivalent and eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
3. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction technology, equipment, and methods; craft agreements, jurisdiction, and negotiations; engineering, cost control schedules, and safety
4. Excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory skills essential
5. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw solid conclusions
6. Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
