Job Summary:

Our Senior Health Care Data Analyst plays a pivotal role at Delta Dental of MA, performing research and analysis of complex data including patient oral health, provider network performance, and sales analytics. Our Senior Health Care Data Analyst is naturally curious and enjoys data exploration to uncover business insights and designs actionable dashboards to support numerous departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with subject matter experts and clinical teams to enable data-driven decisions.
  • Access data warehouse and other data sources to deliver impactful business insights and recommendations.
  • Lead analytics projects, including understanding the business issue, data preparation, analysis, and presentation.
  • Use analytics tools to develop and implement interactive dashboards for both internal and external users.
  • Provide user training and support for data visualization tools and software.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of data and analytics standards for the organization.
  • Participate in special projects as needed or requested.

Job Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data management, analyses, and business intelligence (BI) visualization tools.
  • Advanced SQL experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex problems.
  • Independent, collaborative self-starter.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Snowflake, Fivetran, dbt, R, Sigma (or similar BI tool).
  • Experience with dental or healthcare provider or payer data.
  • Foundation in statistical theory and practice.
  • Experience with Agile project management.
