This District Manager remote role will be based in the Riverside County, Southern California area.

What you'll do:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to stores in order to ensure that district sales and profit goals are achieved.
  • Develop and implement plans, policies and procedures in an effort to maximize profits.
  • Frequently use individual judgment to take action regarding merchandise placement, staffing decisions and problem resolution.
  • Analyze and monitor the sales and expense figures for each store, provide feedback and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Visit all district stores regularly and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with Petco policies and procedures.
  • Recruit, train, develop and manage Store Management to ensure adequate staffing.
  • Ensure all associates are properly trained to provide outstanding customer service.
  • Provide counsel to Store Managers on personnel issues, store events, and problem solving.
  • Plan and set individual as well as store goals, and track the progress of each.
  • Conduct regular visits to competitor locations and report observed changes.
  • Conduct regular audits of store paperwork and track trends to ensure cash control procedures are observed.
  • Ensure compliance with company directed Shrink reduction initiatives.
  • Coordinate new store openings and existing store remodels.
  • Complete semi-annual performance evaluations and annual merit increase recommendations for all Store Managers.

Supervisory Responsibility: Job duties entail primary responsibility for training and developing Store Managers and store personnel.

Work Environment: The District General Manager position requires that quality time be spent traveling between stores.

$85,564.00 - $150,315.00 / year
