At a site or campus level the Occupancy Planner understands how much space is currently available, the workplace conditions, and headcount projections by local business unit. The Occupancy Planner is to ensure all sites are optimized and per Client workplace standards.
To be successful in this role, you should be able to ensure accurate reporting of information and foster critical relationships between various individuals and organizations.
Site level allocation blocking, stacking, adjacency, and planning
Work experience in occupancy or space planning for corporate clients; or interior office planning, furniture planning/management, move/project management, or related Facilities function in a corporate real estate setting
Act as POC for site and campus level space requests
Manage and maintain CAFM / IWMS data to ensure accuracy of reporting
Resolves data accuracy audits as needed
Ability to present and provide meaningful business insights from data
Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions with executive management, gathering requirements, managing initiatives and project deliverables with minimal direction
A working knowledge of occupancy utilization, office design principles and trends such as the mobile or collaborative workplace
Provide superior communications and client relationship management
Exhibit strong inter-personal skills to include self-motivation, ability to collaborate as a team member and self-discipline.
Ability to drive deliverables within milestones
Reporting
Field Verify Occupancy Planning Data
Reports, plans and spreadsheets required to support the planning organization for its internal processes or to facilitate decision-making by departments on a campus or within a building;
Operations
Assists with Work Order In Box management
Participates in Audits (including seat assignments, occupancy, vacancy, labs & equipment)
Incorporates churn-related information (M-A-Cs completed by Facility Management) into the planning database;
Assists Occupancy Planner in planning-related initiatives and project move planning;
Provides occupancy information to appropriate parties while participating in project move meetings; and
Organizational
Proactively manages smaller work streams during client engagements
Supports planning team with test fits and CAD services
Any and all other duties and tasks assigned

Requirements:
1-2 years work experience within facilities, space planning, occupancy management, or CAD/CAFM related roles
Bachelors Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Real Estate, or related field
Strong written, verbal, and virtual communication skills
Previous experience in space/occupancy planning at a strategic level, plus experience with interior office renovations is highly desirable
CAFM system experience also highly desirable.
