We're trying to identify a talented Java Web Application developer to contribute to our client's exciting journey. This is a Contract-to-hire, hybrid role based in Atlanta, GA.

Role Responsibilities

  1. Propose solutions aligned with the company's core values.
  2. Perform analysis, design, and code in Java, SQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  3. Participate in production support and spearhead troubleshooting efforts as required.
  4. Execute SQL server DBA functions.
  5. Collaborate with the account services team (software helpdesk team) to resolve escalated technical issues.
  6. Ensure software quality through rigorous quality assurance practices.
  7. Customize the system for new and existing installations.
  8. Manage Servers and Services on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Required Skills and Experience

  1. Minimum 3 years of application development experience, including programming/developing web applications using Java, Spring, Spring MVC, Hibernate, JPA, Maven, and rules engines.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  3. Demonstrated experience in application integration and designing and developing web services and frameworks. Comprehensive front and back-end experience are essential.
  4. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  5. Experience working directly with end users to comprehend and translate requirements into design.
  6. Proven ability to constructively evaluate and apply new and emerging technologies and vendor products to meet identified business and technology objectives.
  7. Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  8. Demonstrated strategic thinking and its application in software design.
  9. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to devise solutions.
  10. Willingness to participate in production support and lead troubleshooting efforts as required.
  11. Proficient understanding and experience with SQL/Stored Procedures.
  12. Solid experience with test-driven development.
  13. Deep understanding of Java, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  14. Experience with relational databases - preferably SQL Server.
  15. Familiarity with Versata would be advantageous.
  16. Knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) would be a plus.

Pay range: $40-$50 an hour
