Job Summary
The Director, Corporate Outreach position primary responsibilities will be in support of the Corporate Outreach Strategy, with the goal of engaging ACH end-users and creating resources to promote greater ACH visibility and awareness among business and related stakeholders. The Director will serve as a subject matter expert in ACH, and will have experience as well with business payment processes, to support this mission. The Director will have a deep understanding of ACH, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping businesses optimize their payment operations and strategies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Serves as a subject matter expert for ACH and how businesses use ACH for B2B, B2C, and C2B payments (e.g., bill pay, payroll, tax, vendor payments, disbursements, etc.). Creates educational materials on ACH/business payments for webinar and in-person presentations and works cooperatively with the Nacha communications department in the development and execution of resource deliverables, outbound communications/messaging and online resources. Collaborates with and supports the Senior Director, Industry Engagement on exhibits and sponsorships to promote ACH awareness and adoption with specific industry verticals (e.g., healthcare, higher education, nonprofits, subscription commerce). Works with Nacha's Rules and risk management teams to understand how Nacha initiatives impact corporate ACH users. Keeps current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements related to ACH payments to ensure the information provided is current and relevant. Gathers and analyzes feedback to continuously improve educational offerings and address any gaps in understanding. Creates strong industry relations with supporting associations and directly with businesses and payment enablers. Manages and supports related data (e.g., contacts, lists). Represents Nacha in identified industry events. Identifies industry opportunities for engagement, conducts retrospectives and helps assess recommendations for continued participation. Executes priorities and ensures timely completion of deliverables.

- Internal: Extensive collaboration with 1) Associate Managing Director of Network Development, the Senior Director, Industry Engagement, and other ACH Network Development team members, 2) Nacha's Rules and Risk Management personnel, 3) and Nacha's communications and education teams. External: Extensive contact with ACH Network participants and key industry groups.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Deep understanding and experience with ACH payments.
- Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) and/or Accredited Payments Risk Professional (APRP), and/or CTP preferred.
- Subject matter expertise in electronic payments and related resource development.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Initiative-taker with a well-developed aptitude for time management and participating in teams.
- Understand and contribute to the department's strategic direction.
- Ability to embrace and apply the association's core values.
Required Background / Minimum Qualifications
College degree and minimum of 5 years' demonstrated success with electronic payments and related resource development experience.

None.
Working Conditions
Domestic travel is likely (20- 25% total).

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing and light lifting of boxes may occur. This would require the ability to lift files/boxes, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
