Job Requirements / Description
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Statistics) or equivalent practical experience
- 3+ years of professional experience as a Data Analyst, with a focus on GIS
- Proficiency in Python for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization
- Strong SQL skills for querying and managing relational databases
- Experience with FME for spatial data integration and transformation
- Knowledge of and experience with RDBMS (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Responsibilities

- This role will be three days a week hybrid out of our client's Downtown Atlanta location
- Utilize your expertise in GIS to analyze and interpret spatial data, providing valuable insights for decision-making processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver actionable recommendations
- Develop and implement Python scripts for data manipulation, analysis, and visualization
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and transform data from various sources
- Utilize FME (Feature Manipulation Engine) to integrate and transform geospatial data across different formats
- Manage and maintain relational database management systems (RDBMS) to ensure data accuracy and accessibility
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement data visualizations, maps, and reports to effectively communicate findings
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to GIS and data analysis
