Information Law is extremely busy right now, and 2024 is already seeing a lot of innovation, which creates opportunities for career advancement. My client sits at the forefront of Information Law and is looking to hire a Counsel to join their team of experienced, smart, and passionate attorneys.
To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to switch lanes; one minute you could be advising a client on eDiscovery matters, and the next on a Cyber Data Breach. It’s essential to be knowledgeable in multiple areas of information law. As Information Law specialists, they cover the following areas, and you will need to be experienced in at least two of them:
- eDiscovery
- Information Governance
- Data Privacy
- Data Breach/Incident Response
They also work across multiple sectors including Financial Services, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, and Transportation.
My client is open to candidates who have worked in law firms or attorneys who have worked in-house, provided you have a law firm background. However, it is very important that you possess strong writing and analytical skills.
This position would be ideal for a Senior Associate who is on track to become a Partner but isn’t there just yet. This is the type of position and company that can elevate you to a Partner position in the future.
Salary: $180k-$250k base + bonus
Location: Remote
Bar: California, Illinois, Minnesota, Virginia, Washington D.C. or the ability to waive into bar in one of these locations
