We promote from within and support continuing education, technical training and skills development.PositionWe require an experienced Setup Machinist to work in our Lathes department working with 3 and 4 axis Okuma and Nakamura Lathes.Review detailed manufacturing printsCreate and or edit G-Code at the machineSetup jobs with any necessary programming and fixturingSetup the machine with required toolingRun the machine while checking for machine errors and part non-conformanceMake adjustments to offset coordinates to compensate for materials, tooling or machining conditions.Inspect parts for adherence to print dimensions and tolerancesWork independently with minimal direction from senior operations staff to setup jobs, perform machining functions, and troubleshoot machining related issuesHit pre-determined efficiency goals when setting up or operating machines.Continuously strive to help improve processesFollow department specific procedures when setting up and operating machines, as well as inspecting parts.Other duties as assignedQualificationsWe are looking for a hands-on professional with attention to detail and the ability to think through problems and implement solutions.
