L/S Equity Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth fundamental research and analysis on potential investment opportunities within the equity markets.
• Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support investment theses.
• Monitor and analyze industry trends, market conditions, and company-specific developments.
• Generate investment ideas and present them to the portfolio management team.
• Execute trades and manage positions in accordance with the fund’s investment strategy.
• Collaborate with other analysts and portfolio managers to refine investment strategies and optimize portfolio performance.
• Prepare and present detailed investment reports and recommendations to senior management.
• Stay current with market news, earnings reports, and other relevant information to inform investment decisions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CFA designation preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of buyside experience in equity research or a related role.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a deep understanding of financial statements and valuation techniques.
• Proven track record of generating profitable investment ideas.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis software (e.g., Excel, Bloomberg, FactSet).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with long/short equity strategies.
• Strong network within the investment community.
• Demonstrated ability to think critically and make sound investment decisions under pressure.
