POSITION SUMMARY:

The Travel Coordinator will arrange business travel for employees, identifying the most cost-effective and efficient travel arrangements, and making necessary reservations for accommodations.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Travel Coordination:

  • Using Concur, books employee travel arrangements for both individual travelers as well as groups including airline, car rental, and hotel
  • Advises employees on the best/most cost-efficient travel plans available that will meet their needs and requirements
  • Enforces corporate travel policies and procedures; educate employees on travel policies and procedures
  • Researches and compares available travel and hotel accommodations to identify the best available option for each travel need
  • Is knowledgeable about project location with respect to lodging, airfare, and available amenities
  • Completes new hire paperwork for travel profiles and credit card applications

Office Administration:

  • Prepares written communications as needed
  • Prepares expense reports; supports employee Concur training
  • Assists with meeting and event planning activities both on-site and off-site (e.g., catering set-up, printing/collating materials, etc.)
  • Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of 2 years of administrative assistance is required
  • High School Diploma or GED required; some higher education preferred
  • Previous training and experience with Concur or similar travel software highly preferred
  • Prior experience in the travel industry experience desired
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to set priorities and work independently/be a part of a team environment
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills are required; must pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems promptly
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Pay Equity

$30 - $33 / hour

This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule.
