SUMMARY:

Community Integrated Services (CIS) is a company that provides a variety of support services for people with intellectual disabilities. This position focuses on providing behavior support and applied analysis services to individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and many with diagnosed mental health issues as well as supervising services provided by other CIS Clinical and Service Plan Program Managers or other designated employees. This position requires the ability to prioritize work and to ensure program documentation is completed accurately and within the allotted time frames. Furthermore, this position requires the ability to have good public relations skills in working with a variety of outside professionals and state employees, effectively train employees on behavior interventions, summarize client progress, provide performance feedback, and communicate effectively with others. The Clinical Director is directly responsible for behavior plans and clinical support for people supported by CIS as well as supervision and oversight of supervising services provided by other CIS Clinical and Service Plan Program Managers or other designated employees.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Regular, timely and consistent attendance.
  • Assist Human Resources to interview and hire Program Managers and other clinical program staff.
  • Ensure that ongoing, updated functional assessments (FA) and Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP) are completed as outlined in Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) policy and Washington Administrative Code (WAC).
  • Attend meetings, as needed, to train on programs or continue functional assessment to support staff and advocate for the individuals we serve.
  • Ensure that required documentation includes behavioral data, graphing of data, reporting on psychiatric symptoms and life changes, and evaluation of current behavior program.
  • Ensure behavior plans and data collection is being completed correctly.
  • Supervise the development and implementation of PBSP’s written by supervisees, including assisting in development of plans as needed.
  • Review newly drafted PBSP’s and supporting documents. Sign-off on plans.
  • Provide timely feedback.
  • Ensure all Exceptions to Policy (ETP), program modifications, participant refusal of service plans, Cross System Crisis Plans (CSCP) and reduction in supervision plans, are approved and reviewed as required by CIS and DDA requirements.
  • Meet regularly with Program Managers to coordinate services and provide staff training.
  • Provide systematic performance feedback for all Program Managers and clinical staff including:
  • Support with core competencies (e.g., oversight of supervisees, ensuring evidenced-based services with socially valid outcomes).
  • Quality checks (e.g., house visits, observations of service implementation).
  • Policy/Rule compliance; and
  • Contract compliance.
  • Coordinate support guidelines, documentation, and training.
  • Support Clinical Team with contract compliance including:
  • Scheduling, organizing, attending, training staff, and ensuring proper documentation of required reviews.
  • Ensure recommendations made by other professionals and/or team members are reviewed, acceptable and completed.
  • Promoting the use of least restrictive interventions.
  • Supporting and preparing for government audits, quality reviews, and certifications; and
  • Organizing and supporting systems for internal compliance and quality reviews.
  • Consult on cases, as needed, which could include attending team meetings.
  • Facilitate collaboration across departments (for example, Human Resources, Finance and Medical).
  • Provide second tier On-Call support and timely responses to On-Call Program Manager or Program Director.
  • Ensure client’s clinical needs are met when a supervisee uses PTO and/or FMLA/PFML.
  • Train (instruct, model, and give feedback) new supervisees, Program Managers, and other relevant staff (as needed) on job responsibilities, including contract requirements, state rules related to behavior supports and staff training curricula.
  • Review client referrals in conjunction with Program Managers prior to placement and attend intake and other team meetings as needed or requested.
  • Attend and conduct manager meetings, weekly or as needed.
  • Other duties as needed or assigned by the Agency Administrator or in conjunction with the Human Resources Manager and the Program Director.
  • Follow state policies and procedures.
  • Serve as an official representative of CIS and market a positive image.
  • Complete and maintain Continuing Education (CE) requirements and assist training recruiting team to ensure that all Program Management staff complete CEs as required.
  • Complete annual performance evaluations for supervisees. Review includes quality checks and contract compliance.
  • Ensure supervisees’ training and personnel requirements are completed and updated within established time frames.
  • Collaborate with Operations Team to update policy manual to ensure compliance with contracting agency’s contract requirements, policy changes and updates to WAC.
  • Foster a cooperative and respectful work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of least 18 years old.
  • Pass a criminal background check.
  • Possess the ability to speak, read and write effectively in English.
  • Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • A Master’s Degree or PhD in behavior analysis preferred.
  • Certified as a BCBA or BCBA-D or equivalent certification.
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills, ability to prioritize work, and able to complete all assigned program documentation accurately and within the allotted time frames.
  • Have good public relations skills in working with a variety of outside professionals and state employees.
  • Able to effectively train employees on behavioral interventions.
  • Provide supervision and oversight of designated employees.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Complete all initial and ongoing training requirements within established time frames.
  • Maintain BCBA certification and state licensure (as applicable).

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to an indoor environment where the temperature is usually moderate, and the noise level is minimal. The employee may be exposed to various environments including, but not limited to the following: aggressive individuals, may encounter blood and/or saliva, and other potentially infectious materials.
