Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager
Our company is hiring an EHS manager for our new facility in Andrews, SC. We appreciate

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop and implement programs that ensure compliance with all environmental, health
and safety requirements arising from federal, state, and local regulations.
• Serve as a leader in the company and mentor others to get involved in supporting EHS
initiatives, including the EHS Committee and daily interactions with site departments to
promote safe work activities.
• Maintain and promote EHS policies, develop and implement a plan that ensures training
is performed to meet or exceed state and federal requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into all aspects of
operations.
• Communicate EHS policies and procedures to all employees. Be the Subject Matter Expert
for the site in regard to all environmental, safety and health requirements and Best
Practices.
• Be engaged in the goals and responsibilities of the Plant Leadership Team. Incorporate
Ehs goals into the annual site plans. Keep the Plant Leadership Team informed of ongoing
status of the EHS program.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and collect/track corrective actions, be
the site representative to the insurance company in the event of a worker’s comp. claim.
• Maintain all required safety, accident, and environmental records and documentation.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate potential hazards.
• Oversee the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials and waste.
• Implement waste reduction initiatives to minimize environmental impact.
• Conduct environmental and safety compliance inspections and compile/report data to
state and federal agencies. Maintain the OSHA 300 logs as required.
• Ensure and maintain site emergency response and contingency plans.
• Participates in and serves as the point person for all OSHA and EPA inspections, providing
inspectors with appropriate documents and identifying safety measures. Keeps the site
leadership updated and involved in all interactions with these agencies.
• Verify that safety equipment such as PPE, forklifts, overhead
cranes, hearing protection, machine guarding, are available and in proper condition for use.
• Conduct routine inspections, including but not limited to inspections of fire extinguishers,
eye wash stations, machine guards, warehousing racks, grounds etc. as needed.
• Participate in EHS monthly meetings with site and corporate personnel as requested.
Develop and communicate an EHS Scorecard to drive performance improvements.
• Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or a related field;
advanced degree or CSP/CIH certification is a plus and will be considered.
• 5+ years' experience in the EHS field in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
• Must have leadership experience with managing air and water permits, along with
hazardous waste disposal, including compliance oversight and employee
training/documentation.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and consensus standards (OSHA,
EPA, Workers' Compensation), inspection procedures, audits, hazard reviews, incident
prevention, and incident investigation techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in the use of computers with knowledge of MS office products including
Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Ability to meet multiple deadlines, as applicable.
