The incumbent manages all aspects of the branch operations. This position is accountable for the financial performance, profitability, retail administration, daily operation, and retail sales management of the Branch as well as customer satisfaction; this position also ensures adherence to all Bank policies, objectives, and practices, coordination of all operations as well as supervision of personnel.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages the retail employees of the Branch to include hiring recommendations and decision, scheduling, coaching, performance appraisals, salary, and promotion recommendations.
  • Oversee the productivity, performance, profitability, retail administration, and daily operations of the branch.
  • Performs business development and/or marketing for the branch, including outside calls (both existing customers and new prospects).
  • Represents the Branch in community activities as available.
  • Contributes to the fulfillment of branch and company objectives and goals; works with Supervisors to increase deposit volumes.
  • Fill in for any position in the lobby in case of staff absence or if assistance is needed. Ability to assist customers with various service duties including opening New Accounts, Safe Deposit Box, Teller, and all other customer-oriented services.
  • Ensure adherence to all Bank policies, objectives, and practices, while maintaining the security and confidentiality of pertinent information and records.
  • Demonstrates a courteous, pleasant, self-motivated, and dependable behavior. Maintaining a professional environment in both appearance and conduct.

Education and Experience Required

  • College degree in business, accounting or finance, or equivalent educational experience is preferred.
  • Three years progressive bank branch retail experience required. One year of Assistant Branch Manager experience required with two years of Branch Manager experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities Required

  • Problem-solving, communication, customer service or organization skills are necessary to perform the day-to-day tasks. In addition, this individual should be able to make decisions quickly and accurately while dealing with possible complex information.
  • Preferred Jack Henry Xperience Banking systems.
  • Preferred Jack Henry Synergy Document systems.
