This is an exciting opportunity for a Transportation Project Manager who is looking to hone their management skills while providing and making a direct impact to already established growing organization!Job Activities:Serves as project manager with autonomy for project related tasks and as a designated client contact. May have project management responsibilities on multiple projects.Responsibility for project schedules and timely completion of projects.Assists in the coordination of estimating, scoping, and marketing strategies for proposed projects.Assists in the preparation of engineering agreements for projects.Provides street and highway design engineering analysis and computations.Prepares or modifies reports, specifications, plans, studies, permits, and designs for various projects.May delegate and/or supervise the work of other engineer’s activities.Actively participates in business development efforts and attends client meetings, making presentations in support of the client and projects.Specific Requirements include:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Civil, Transportation, or Traffic Engineer program10-20 years transportation or traffic engineering experienceIDOT or local agency IL project experience is requiredLicensed Professional Engineer (PE)Ability to manage and collaborate with Engineers, Technicians, Clients, and AdministratorsAbility to contribute to several projects simultaneouslyWorking experience with Microsoft Office, MicroStation, Geopak, and OpenRoads Designer preferredAbout Farnsworth GroupFarnsworth Group is an award winning, employee-owned engineering, architecture, and surveying firm with more than 500 employees located in nearly 30 offices nationwide.
