Job Title: Blackstone Technology & Innovations (BXTi) - Associate
Responsibilities:
- Provide middle office application and end user support to a number of applications used in the company's trading operations.
- Partake in the production environment, undertaking a combination of in-house and SaaS applications tasks, as well as batch processes, batch scripting and live monitoring assignments.
- Manage the resolution of application and system issues that arise across the business using both business skills and technical IT knowledge.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Communicate with end users / stakeholders regarding issues they encounter and their resolutions.
- Interact with various internal IT support functions to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems as they happen and escalate software issues that cannot be resolved to the development teams.
- Coordinate and perform application production deployments and ensure change management processes are met.
- Manage user onboarding and off boarding in a SOX controlled environment.
- Take ownership of monitoring 24/7 batch scheduled processes to ensure successful completion of batch jobs.
- Undertake setup, maintenance, and mapping for New Funds, Fund Administrator Exports, Management Reporting, etc.
- Undertake key project work for the team including core system upgrades.
- Perform application checkouts during our annual disaster recovery testing process.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in job offered or related occupations.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical support role in the financial service industry.
- Minimum 3 years of experience diagnosing and resolving technical problems affecting both front-end applications and back-end systems with a strong focus on middle office application and end user support to a number of applications used in the company's trading operations.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in using SQL Server Management Studio, including writing advanced queries, database management, running traces, and optimizing stored procedures.
- Minimum 2 years of experience replicating and resolving integrated system environment issues.
- Minimum 2 years of experience using SQL Server Management Studio, Citrix, Virtual Machines, FIX protocol, trade allocation and settlement tool.
- Minimum 2 years of experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a role assisting with software development and product change request releases.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Agent for job scheduling and execution automation.
- Minimum 1 year of experience with software development methodologies, such as Agile/Scrum.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in confluence, JIRA to create and document project knowledge and tasks.
- Minimum 1 year of experience using AWS automation, Terraform infrastructure development and configuration, development of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Artifactory and Gitlab repository.
- Minimum 1 year of experience utilizing the ServiceNow platform to manage IT service tickets to handle incident and service requests, providing first-line investigation and diagnosis.
- Minimum 1 year of experience understanding of secure file transfer protocols.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in writing and debugging batch scripts to streamline MFT/SFTP operations and SSH keys usage.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in using Geneva, knowledge on utilizing PuTTY for secure SSH access to Linux servers and PowerShell commands to configure and manage RSL, knowledge on converting ppk key to OpenSSH key under Linux environment.
- Experience can be concurrent.
Expected annual base salary range:
$102,000 - $160,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
