A law firm in Tampa, FL is seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience in patent litigation. The ideal candidate will effectively manage day-to-day litigation tasks, including preparing court pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and motions. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and handle day-to-day litigation tasks for intellectual property cases, with a focus on patent disputes.
- Independently prepare and draft court pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and motions.
- Communicate effectively with other lawyers, staff, and clients regarding case status and strategy.
- Take and defend depositions as necessary, contributing to case preparation and development.
- Develop and implement litigation strategies and case management plans.
- Analyze legal issues related to patent litigation and intellectual property law.
- Provide legal representation and advice throughout all phases of litigation, including pre-trial, trial, and post-trial.
- Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with legal procedures and deadlines.
- Stay current with legal developments and trends in intellectual property law.
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in patent litigation.
- Experience in Hatch-Waxman/ANDA litigation or other forms of intellectual property litigation or prosecution is a plus.
- Excellent academic credentials and demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong practical judgment and an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Currently admitted to practice in Florida, Georgia, California, DC, New Jersey, or New York.
- USPTO registration number or patent Bar eligibility strongly preferred.
Education:
- JD degree from an accredited law school.
- Strong academic record with evidence of academic excellence.
Certifications:
- Admission to the Bar in Florida, Georgia, California, DC, New Jersey, or New York.
