TITLE: Patient Access Service Representative
LOCATION: Milwaukee, WI (Onsite)
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4 PM
PAY: $18.00 - $22.00 Hour DOE
This is the pay range that BAHAMA Consulting reasonably expects to pay someone for this position.
SUMMARY: The Patient Access Service Rep (PASR) follows the hospital and the Medical College Performance Excellence Customer Service Standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Greets and arrives patients.
  • Verifies and updates demographic information.
  • Collects monies for copays, supplies, and services rendered.
  • Balances daily cash collections.
  • Obtains patient signatures.
  • Assists patients with ancillary appointment scheduling and forms.
  • Schedules, cancels, and reschedules patient appointments.
  • Answers and directs telephone calls.
SKILLS:
  • A minimum of two years of prior experience as a receptionist/assistant or related field is required.
  • Effective communication skills, oral and written required.
  • Strong proactive organizational skills a must.
  • Must have excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Word.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and EpicCare is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
EDUCATION:
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
