Full Job Description - Electronics Technician

American Technology Components, Inc. is seeking technical support for electronic products, printed circuit board assemblies, and cable assemblies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Test printed circuit board assemblies according to the test instructions.
- Evaluate production line rejects. Repair and document work as necessary.
- Provide technical support to engineering with the production of test equipment. Ensuring the test equipment maintains reliability and performance in the production environment.
- Assist in the design and building of prototypes to determine technical feasibility and manufacturability.
- Setting up equipment, preparing and conducting testing, collecting data, and recording results.
- Provide support for the production release for material specifications, manufacturing processes, analysis tools, work instructions, and related acceptance criteria for new or changed parts.
- Review warranty parts. Troubleshoot and determine failure. Document failures.
- Provide technical phone support to customers, OEM's and end users.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates Degree in Electronics preferred. Years of applicable experience will be considered.
- Read and understand electrical schematics.
- Basic time management and computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent soldering skills.
- Familiar with AutoCad, PCB Design software or similar design software.
- Verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to prepare written
specifications and test reports.
