Job Brief:
We seek experienced Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) to join our team.
Job Requirements:
  • Minimum two years of relevant experience.
  • An active CPA license.
  • Strong command over General Ledger.
  • Proficient in Business and Personal Tax.
  • Certification and hands-on experience in small business accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, etc.).
  • Excellent soft skills.
Job Responsibilities:
  1. Client Management:
  • Manage and nurture relationships with existing clients.
  • Conduct regular meetings to understand their needs and provide relevant solutions.
  • Understand client concerns and resolve them as required.
  • Team Management
    • Mentor and Manage a virtual team of Accountants.
    • Provide required subject matter expertise to the team members as needed.
  • Sales Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with sales personnel to identify opportunities and upsell additional products/services.
    • Work closely with the sales team, providing support in closing deals.
  • Networking:
    • Develop a local social network by attending business and networking events.
    • Leverage networking opportunities to expand the client base.
  • Virtual Office Operations:
    • Operate efficiently from BFG's virtual office or at the convenience of your home office to deliver top-notch accounting and related services.
    • Utilize the provided tools and resources to enhance client interactions.
  • Project Work:
    • Perform various financial projects based on your experience and interest, including audits, tax planning, financial projections, consultation, and other related activities.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

    Skills Required
    Hard Skills
    • Working experience in full-cycle general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
    • Experience in US Individual and Business Tax Preparation.
    • Knowledge of payroll and payroll taxes.
    • Specialized knowledge in a minimum of one major field (e.g., Auditing, Business Planning, Tax Planning, Non-profit, Industry-specific knowledge, Accounting Software knowledge, etc.)
    Soft Skills
    • Leadership
    • Providing clear direction and guidance to the team members.
    • Leading by example and setting high standards of professionalism.
    • Communication:
    • Clear and concise communication (Verbal and written) with team members and clients
    • Active listening to understand team members' concerns/queries
    • Time Management:
    • Prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
    • Delegating responsibilities efficiently within the team.
    • Balancing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
    • Critical thinking
    • Understand the concerns of Team Members and Clients, analyze, evaluate, and make a reasoned decision.
    • Presents analyses and recommendations clearly and understandably.
    Technical Skills
    • Working knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero or other accounting software.
    • Experience in Tax preparation software. (We use Drake Take)
    • Experience in Mircrosoft Excel and Word.
    • Experience in Google Sheet, and Word.
    Remuneration:
    • Fixed revenue share on income generated by your virtual accounting team.
    • 70:30 split on other projects.
