Position OverviewThe Robotic Weld Engineer manages the development and implementation process of the company’s products and services. Coordinates departmental or cross-functional teams, focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products. Monitors the project from initiation through delivery including planning and directing schedules and monitoring budget/spending. Organizes cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of the project i.e. product on schedule and within budget constraints. This job manages specific projects that have a distinct beginning and end.ResponsibilitiesWork within cross-functional teams to diagnose fit up issues in large assemblies and execute the decided upon plan of actionRead and interpret weld schedules and program Fanuc robots to create referenced weld schedulesEvaluate robotic processes and create optimization plans to increase cell outputEvaluate weld cell performance, create and execute optimization plans to optimize qualityAnalyzes designs, programs, simulations, and test procedures for automated machinery and processes.Exercises judgment in selecting existing methods and techniques for obtaining solutions on mainly routine problems.Ability to communicate a technical language with programmers by having a fundamental understanding of computer/PLC programming.Capability to problem solve using coding, programs, analytics.Implements and supports controls architecture with focus on process stability, system availability, as well as ease of operation and maintenance.Monitors project progress and performance against project plan.Participates in regularly scheduled team meetings.Prepare planning options and standards, evaluate cost-efficiency, and provide analysis of both. Take part in continuous improvement process to optimize manufacturing efficiency.Supports planning, engineering, and commissioning of controls equipment till final buyoffs of equipment in the shops together with suppliers and MBV production / maintenance teams.Tracks budget and ensures production timelines.Minimum RequirementsBachelor’s degreeAt least 5 years of technical project/program management experienceORMaster’s degreeAt least 3 years of technical project/program management experienceORAt least 7 years of technical project/program management experienceAdditional RequirementsQualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States.
