Job Description
Our client is a global organization with over 1500 employees, headquartered in Sedalia, Missouri. This leading engineering company is developing their Kansas City team and are seeking a Lead Electrical Designer to report directly to the Director of Design and Technology. As a Lead Electrical Designer you will be responsible for the following:
- Design electrical raceway systems including duct bank, tray, and above ground conduit or model 3D equipment items for power plant systems including simple cycle gas balance of plant systems.
- Route cable through raceway design ensuring applicable codes and fill is adhered to working in collaboration with engineering
- Plan and develop drawings for production, including problem analysis, design layout, and calculations.
- Quality check 3D models for interferences and constructability optimizations. - Resolve comments on checked drawings and implement feedback.
- Complete as-builts using RFIs, ECNs, and red-marked drawings to develop “Conformed to Construction Records.”
- Mentoring junior Electrical Designers
Required Skills & Experience
- Associate degree in related field OR High School Diploma with Relevant coursework/experience - Minimum of 5 years of experience doing 3D Electrical Design for Power Generation projects
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with E3D or Plant 3D or Smartplant 3D or Scada or Aveva or AeriesCARS or CADWORX Plant Pro or AutoCAD or MicroStation or Navisworks or Bluebeam or Excel
