Program overview:At Scoular, we are dedicated to developing young talent to support our customers and partners around the world. Scoular interns gain real life experiences while learning the ins and outs of our businesses and solutions. During the 11-week program, interns create a true impact on our business by gaining hands-on experience in the field of business development, immersing themselves with our culture and working alongside team members. Who you are: Currently pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree Action-oriented, enjoys working with hands-on projects – you don’t enjoy being at a desk all day Able to influence others and drive teamwork and collaboration Willing to learn and apply innovative technology Strong interpersonal, communication and decision-making skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment An emerging leader with experience leading in clubs, athletics, projects, student govt etc. Active in the community giving back on campus, your hometown, or on a global scaleWhat you will do: Scoular’s Operations Internship immerses you in the daily operations of one of our 100+ facilities across North America. You’ll be at the heart of what we do, learning the business, driving a culture of safety and interacting with our producers. Throughout the internship, you will: Learn the operations of a grain-handling facility, keeping results and safety top of mind Lead the daily activity of facility employees by partnering with the manager regarding training and direction of personnel Become an expert in our safety policies and procedures to ensure employees’ safety and protect company assets Develop positive relationships with our customers, providing outstanding customer service to help build a competitive and sustainable operation Learn from experienced operations leaders in a high-volume, fast-paced environment Own and manage a project throughout the summer and present your experience, learning and recommendations to key leaders RequirementsWho you are: Currently pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree Action-oriented, enjoys working with hands-on projects – you don’t enjoy being at a desk all day Able to influence others and drive teamwork and collaboration Willing to learn and apply innovative technology Strong interpersonal, communication and decision-making skills Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment An emerging leader with experience leading in clubs, athletics, projects, student govt etc. Active in the community giving back on campus, your hometown, or on a global scale
