Northeast Tarrant Internal Medicine Associates (now a part of Catalyst Physician Group) is seeking a Medical Assistant. This employee will review patients' chart and insurance plan websites to establish what diagnostic testing is needed for patients to achieve best practice healthcare to provide patient better health outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Logging in to the insurance reporting systems to log to identify diagnosis and diagnostic testing that is needed for each patient.
  • Filing and logging diagnostic test results that come via fax in the patient's chart so the physician is aware if an order needs to be made at the time of the patient's appointment and then faxing the reports to insurance carrier
  • Logging all attestations returned, scanning them in and closing healthcare gaps and diagnoses captured during patient visit
  • Review medication adherence reports for patients due to fill medications and have not, contact patients to remind them to pick up their medications.
  • Identifying patients that have not been in for the year and are not scheduled for future visit and getting them scheduled for their annual wellness visit
  • Identifying patients that have been seen but have not yet completed their diagnostic testing and contacting them as a care team to get them set up for the test and place order if necessary

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma
  • Medical Assistant Certification
  • Strong data management and / or project management skills
  • Solid knowledge of patient clinical needs
  • Demonstrated ability to assist with focusing activities toward completion deadlines and timely reporting
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Adobe File Sharing for HIPPA assurance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Significant Clinical and / or Health Education experience
  • Experienced in medical record review and extraction
  • Excellent team development skills
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
