Yard Helper

Are you a hands-on individual eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment? Staffmark is looking for an entry-level Yard Helper to join our team in Tuscaloosa, AL! If you have basic handyman skills, a mechanical aptitude, and are ready to take on a physically active job, we want to hear from you.
Job Details:

• Pay: $17-22/hr (up to an extra $2-3/hr for Tool Rental experience)
• Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Closing at 4:30 PM in November)
• No Weekends
• Requirements: STB (Safety Training Certification); provided t-shirt, goggles, and gloves.

As a Yard Helper, you will be responsible for cleaning and inspecting heavy equipment and tools as they are returned to the yard. You will also notate any items that need to be reviewed by the Branch Manager, ensuring that all equipment is in good working order. You'll assist customers who come into the yard, maintaining an organized workspace while staying busy throughout the day. You must be comfortable approaching customers, getting your hands dirty, and keeping up with the fast-paced environment of the yard.
Qualifications:

• Mechanical aptitude is preferred.
• Must be comfortable working in an outdoor environment and handling tools.
• Previous experience in a similar role or with a tool rental company is a plus, but not required.
