Travel Nurse RN - ER/Trauma in Rapid City, SD

**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience (excluding travel experience) preferred
**License:** Registered Nurse (approved by a board of nursing)
**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS (CPI or MAB/MOAB preferred)
**Must-Have:** Critical thinking, good communication, ability to prioritize and provide care for all patient levels, comfortable with evidence collection in sexual assault cases
**Job Description:**
- Provide care for neonates to geriatric patients, from minor to critical conditions in the Emergency Department
- Manage cases such as Sepsis, DKA, Respiratory Illness, GI bleeds, and Level 2 trauma (including stab wounds, GSWs, MVCs, drownings, falls)
- Participate in evidence collection for sexual assault cases; support provided by SA Quality Coordinator and CRNs
- Utilize critical thinking to accurately triage and prioritize care based on patient needs
- Work within a multidisciplinary team with 24/7 resources including physicians, hospitalists, NP coverage, radiology, and more
- Operate using EPIC charting system and manage medication with Omnicell and Alaris
- Support from ED Techs, lead techs, and charge nurses available round the clock
- Potential floating to Med/Surg, PCU or ICU areas as a task nurse
- Complete facility and unit orientation, including specific ED education and shadow shifts
