ACCOUNTANT - GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS

Essential Functions:
  • Position requires advanced understanding of GAAP and ability to analyze financial statements
  • Work will encompass job costing analysis, setup/tracking and entries in various software systems
  • Understanding of ASC 606 and its application for different contract types
    • Provide contract management setup support and analysis, including invoicing, guidance and support
    • Assist with contract pricing and estimating, including Forward Pricing (FPRP) and Request for Proposal (RFP) efforts
    • Conduct Cost & Price Analysis
    • Advise and generate indirect cost structures and provide analysis and/or modeling to assist clients
  • Work closely with practice leadership to plan and execute the following types of projects:
  • Compliance and Gap Assessments (FAR, DFARS, CAS, etc.)
  • Assist with DFAR business system evaluations, process documentation and improvements
  • Meet with DCAA, DCMA and other agency auditors on behalf of clients
    • Incurred cost submission (ICE) and Indirect Cost Proposals (ICP) review and/or preparation
    • Conduct walkthroughs and assist with developing processes, policies and procedures
Qualifications:
  • Ability to understand and perform full accrual accounting functions for federal contracting and commercial clients.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting
  • DCAA or DCMA experience preferred
  • Cost accounting experience is highly desired
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in compliance, auditing, or advising companies with FAR, CAS, DFARS and other Federal regulations as applicable.
  • Strong time, communication and management skills, and competency interfacing with executive leaders
  • A history of demonstrated client service, project management and meeting deadlines
