Position Summary
The Director, People Systems (HRIS) is responsible for leading a team of HRIS Analysts who develop and manage the company's HR Technology Platform. This hands-on role will work closely with the VP of Benefits, HRIS and People Operations to develop an HR technology strategy that supports business strategies which may include system implementations, business process design/redesign, vendor selection, change management, and current-state assessments of both a technical and functional nature.
The Director, HRIS has a deep understanding of HR processes and practices, security, data integrity, system configuration & design, system enhancements & upgrades, and expertise within several areas of HR Technology including: Core HRIS, Benefits, Compliance, Employee/Manager Self-Service, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Onboarding/Offboarding, Compensation, Payroll.
You will drive, influence and collaborate with the People & Culture Team as well as stakeholders across the organization including IT, Finance and Payroll to identify solutions (tools and processes) that meet business needs.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate current HR Platform(s) and develop overall HR Technology strategy in support of business strategies. Translate business objectives into solutions with clearly defined scope, timing deliverables, resources, and key measures of success. Identify and implement best in class solutions to address demands of rapidly scaling business.
- Oversee day-to-day operations and management of HR Systems including external and internal vendor integrations.
- Direct and lead process design configuration, system upgrade maintenance and understand the data architecture of HR systems.
- Serve as a liaison between People & Culture and IT to help communicate the strategic direction for HR systems.
- Possess deep knowledge of HR processes, advise internal stakeholders on best practices for optimizing the use of existing HR tools, drive HR process optimization and standardization while balancing the business need for flexibility.
- Coach and develop a high performing HRIS Team ensuring goals and development plans are in place for Team members.
- Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable federal and state systems requirements in partnership with our internal stakeholders.
- Act as a Steward & Champion for people data integrity and security.
- Manage vendor relationships across HR Systems to ensure business needs are reliably met.
- Oversee Data Management activities including data audits, data cleanup strategy, creation of cleanup tools and manual cleanup work.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of HRIS experience including prior systems implementations; Oracle EBS experience preferred.
- 3+ years of people management experience.
Nice to have:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, information technology or other related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Track record of executing HR systems with a strong focus on end user experience.
- Good understanding of HRIS industry trends and best practices with ability to design and understand complex solutions.
- Strong technical, problem solving, and project management skills with the ability to balance tactical and strategic responsibilities.
