Pay Range: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 (DOE)

Job Summary:

What you’ll be doing:
This position is responsible for leading the project management of individual enterprise projects (technical, and business) that support the annual strategic plan for the organization. This role requires analysis of complex business problems to be solved through automated systems and process improvement. The position is assigned to new business process and business process improvement projects that align with business/functional goals and strategies. This position is based in our San Diego location and reports to the Vice President, Project Management Office.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Define and document project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with internal clients and stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members, internal clients, and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Develop and maintain project communications, and ability to facilitate workstream sessions, and c-suite steerco meetings.
  • Define projects through all phases of the SDLC, via PMBOK standards of leading a project from inception, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling and closing.
  • Development of individual content to facilitate and move the project through challenges and issues.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools, Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
  • Conduct project postmortems and create recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Lead enterprise projects across multiple countries, cultures, and adapting to dynamic project needs.

Technical and Business Acumen:

  • Facilitate the estimate resources, financial and non-financial, and participants needed to achieve project goals.
  • Apply practical business knowledge to ensure project implementation is aligned with business needs.
  • Direct and manage project from beginning to end.
  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.

Product and Contract Implementation:

  • Drives, manages, and coordinates all aspects of a product lifecycle, including long and short term development.
  • Organizes and conducts weekly product development meetings to ensure product requests are developed accordingly.
  • Organize and lead weekly product implementation meetings and SCRUM sessions, as needed.
  • Stays abreast of trends in the marketplace to ensure the product’s competitive position.
  • Oversee technical integration between partner systems and internal distribution systems.
  • Interfaces with product drivers and clients to determine the product’s future direction.
  • Accountable for product life cycle management from product design to installation and distribution.

Requirements:

Required / Desired Knowledge, Experiences and Skills:

  • Solid working knowledge of current Internet technologies and programming languages.
  • Technically competent with various software programs including Microsoft Project, Clickup, Asana and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook).

Preferred:

  • Eight years work experience in a project management or related capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.

Education/Certifications Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED) required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science or similar preferred.
  • PMP / Agile or Scrum Certification required.

Where you’ll be doing it:
This is a hybrid role out of San Diego, CA . As a hybrid role, you will be working onsite 2 days a week and working from home 3 days a week.
